Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, including seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through various support services, including personal care, meal preparation, and companionship.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration. Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care. Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on compassion and empathy. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures to maintain a hygienic environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not mandatory.
