Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to assist clients with their daily needs and provide quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting seniors, including those with cognitive and physical challenges.

Primary Duties:

Support clients with daily self-care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when necessary Help with mobility, including walking and simple exercises Offer companionship and emotional support Monitor and accompany clients during outdoor activities at home Implement dementia care strategies including redirection techniques Ensure the client's living space remains clean, safe, and comfortable

Client Profiles:

Male client: Deaf, visually impaired, with mild dementia Female client: Living with severe scoliosis
Both clients need assistance with personal hygiene and everyday tasks.

Working Hours:

Morning: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM Evening: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Qualifications:

PSW certification is an asset Government-issued photo ID required Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check mandatory CPR certification valid and up to date Previous experience in dementia care and elderly support preferred Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi or English Own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver's license
