Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care plans.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or case manager. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.

Skills

Experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is preferred. Knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia care and hospice care. Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy. Proficient in meal preparation that meets nutritional requirements. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to manage cases effectively while maintaining client confidentiality.
