Sapphire Care is currently seeking a qualified Personal Support Worker. This is a front-line position responsible for the provision of trauma-informed care and support to a client living in their own home. Preferred Qualifications:
Part-time hours: 40 per week Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits:

- Personal Support Worker
- Social Worker
- Formal Education: Some postsecondary education.
- Ability to write and complete documentation and reporting
- Proficient knowledge of English
- First Aid and CPR training
- Ability to perform compassionate and trauma-informed support to individuals with disabilitie
- A minimum of 6 months\' experience in providing support to adults with mental, behavioural, or developmental disabilities/challenges
- Abuse prevention training
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
- Medication Administration training
- Mental Health First Aid
- Food Safety training and certification
- Trauma-informed care training
- FASD training
- Other relevent specializations and training
- Ability to confidently provide front line, face to face support to individuals with varying challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond/remain calm in emotionally charged situations
- Positive Attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to identify issues, set priorities and implement an appropriate plan of action
- Proven ability to work collaboratively
- Must have a reliable car with personal liability insurance with a minimum coverage of two million ($2,000,000.00) and SEF44 Protection Endorsement
- Successful candidate will need to provide a current Police Security Clearance
