Staffed Residential Home for two Non-Verbal Young Men

for individuals living in a fully staffed, non-verbal residential home.

Location:

Langford BC

Hours: Saturday and Sundays from 6am-2pm ( can be flexible with time off with request) plus

the opportunity for casual shifts as well .

Pay:

$26 -$28

What You'll Do:

Support with all personal care, communication, and daily routines Use

non-verbal communication tools

(PECS, visuals, gestures) Mandt System Training would be beneficial Assisting with transferring ( Mobile individual ) Think creatively to bring joy, enrichment, and structure to each day Help design and participate in activities that are stimulating, engaging, and personalized Foster a home environment that is safe, respectful, and empowering Being able to comfort and relieve with the facilitation of protocols for someone with episodic gastrointestinal pain Be a team player who collaborates with families, professionals, and fellow staff
Experience with developmental disabilities is most important

You're open-minded, patient, and willing to learn You understand the importance of

communication without words

You value respect, autonomy, and fun Valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR Clean Vulnerable Sector Check required
