We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans developed by healthcare professionals
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties, including laundry, sanitation, and organizing personal spaces
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and respectful relationship
Document all care activities thoroughly, including patient observations, medication logs, and incident reports
Requirements
Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent credential
Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
Proficiency in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required
CPR and First Aid certification are essential; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
