Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized support with daily activities, health management, and emotional well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring dementia care, and applied brain injuries as well as a variety of other needs.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility. Support with medication administration. Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition. Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation practices. Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being. Assist with light household chores and errands as needed. Monitor and report changes in client health status to healthcare professionals or family members. Follow care plans accurately and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred. Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of caregiving best practices, medication administration including the rights of medications. Familiarity with working in environments requiring heavy lifting or physical support. Previous experience in meal preparation and cleaning within a caregiving context is a plus. This role requires a caring attitude, patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
