Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition. Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Engage in meaningful activities with clients to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong caregiving skills, including cleaning and meal preparation abilities. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families.
