Duties

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at supporting the needs of clients. Your duties will include:

Providing personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition for clients. Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions. Supporting clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental well-being. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in living spaces to create a safe environment. Offering companionship and emotional support to individuals with disabilities or dementia. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred. Background in patient care or senior care is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is beneficial. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively. Capability to assist with meal preparation and medication administration as required. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
