Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings accurately and promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents clearly in accordance with facility protocols and privacy standards

Requirements

Valid certification in First Aid and CPR; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care or working with disabilities is highly desirable Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home & community care environments Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, healthcare teams and social workers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required; familiarity with Hoyer lifts is a plus Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times Compassionate attitude combined with patience and adaptability to meet diverse client needs
