Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home care environments, and hospice care. The Support Worker will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with daily living activities and mobility support. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring the safety of both the client and the caregiver. Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or hospice care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within healthcare settings. Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client care. Certification in CPR or First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.

Job Types: Permanent, Casual

Pay: $19.98-$20.24 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed
