Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need of care
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

- Must be willing to commute throughout Belleville, Quinte, Quinte North and Quinte West

Qualifications:

? Successful completion of a recognized PSW, HSW or DSW Program, Nursing Student or foreign trained Nurse .

? Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.

? Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
? Familiarity with medication administration protocols
? Valid PSW certification or equivalent.
? CPR and First Aid certification.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ensure the client's safety needs are met by utilizing equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
? Operate within the boundaries of your own expertise and understanding
? Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
?Vehicle/Valid driver's license required and must be willing to travel to remote locations. Must be willing to travel up to 30-40 mins any direction from Belleville area.
? Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.

Please note that this position may require working in various settings such as retirement homes, hospitals, or private residences. The ability to adapt to different environments is essential.
