Our remote only team is looking for a hands-on Sales Support Specialist to support the sale of personal lines insurance products including home, auto, tenant, and life insurance. This is an entry level role. You *do not* need to be a licensed broker for this role. The Sales Support Specialist serves as a critical link in our sales process, managing inbound inquiries and providing comprehensive assistance to prospective customers. This role involves following up with customers predominately on the phone but also through digital channels like email and an online quoting tool to capture the required information and ensuring seamless transfer of qualified leads to our licensed advisors. The position requires an individual that enjoys talking to prospective customers on the phone with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. The successful candidate for this role will need a high degree of professionalism, exceptional touch-typing skills, incredible organizational skills, and a proactive approach to support our company\'s sales objectives. What you\'ll do:

  • Follow up with customers on the phone, but also through digital channels like email and help them complete online forms to capture the information we need to quote
  • Exhibit a professional and positive attitude, demonstrating a genuine willingness to assist customers and team members alike
  • Accurately document all customer inquiries and conversations in the designated system, adhering to provided templates for consistency
  • Diligently manage customer expectations, directing them to the appropriate department/team when necessary
  • Effectively handle daily tasks in accordance with Walnut\xe2\x80\x99s performance standards and workload expectations
  • Responsively incorporate feedback from coaching and training sessions, utilizing available self-coaching tools for continuous improvement

  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor while talking to customers on the phone and a robust Internet connection for online interactions
  • Exceptional organizational skills to track and keep tasks, files, notes, calendars in order
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office
  • Minimum touch-typing speed of 60 words per minute
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, as required by the sales process
  • Ability to manage high work volumes in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear and concise manner
  • Effective use of time management and the ability to be a self-starter
  • Collect relevant information systematically and through probing questions to process responses quickly and accurately
What would be nice to have:
  • Bilingual in French and English would be a plus
  • Insurance related experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with broker management software (Applied, Power Broker, etc.), CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), call centre software (Blue Butler, DialPad, etc.) also a bonus
