Associate insurance advisor
This associate level role provides inbound sales and service and can be a great fit for someone just beginning a career in insurance or an experienced personal lines advisor. A successful candidate will need to obtain their general level 1 license in order to be considered. Once hired you will build a broad knowledge of The Co?operators personal lines (auto, home, travel) and may also assist with specialty lines (commercial, farm, life and investments).
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inbound sales, service and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products
Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs
Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client
Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines
Complete inspections and re-inspections
Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals
Support programs to build multi-client relationships
Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home portfolio
May provide administrative support including ordering supplies, bank deposits, maintaining office records Support financial services sales activities in the agency
Working Conditions:
Regular office environment
May be required to work flexible hours
May require occasional travel outside the office
Desired Skills and Experience
General Insurance License is Required - candidates with a date set to write the license exam will be considered
Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses
Applicant should live locally
Goal oriented and able to meet sales targets
A minimum of one year of insurance industry experience including sales experience is preferred
Knowledge of insurance products and strong underwriting skills is an asset
Must be skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving
Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license may be required

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
