Personal Lines Insurance Agent



The Opportunity:



We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and sales-oriented team player for a full-time Personal Lines Insurance Agent position in our Vancouver office. This varied role involves writing new business, remarketing policies, managing renewals, processing payments and cancellations, and handling client inquiries in person and over the phone. Experience with marketing across multiple company portals is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance sector and a talent for building positive working relationships.

Role & Responsibilities:



Generate leads and convert prospects into new clients using creative networking and sales strategies. Present existing and prospective customers with tailored policy options, quotes, and educational materials. Review insurance policies for accuracy, coverage, and limits, recommending modifications as needed. Resolve billing, policy change, coverage, and claims issues with a high level of customer service. Maintain accurate client and prospect information within company databases. Embody our core values of accountability, customer-centricity, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.

Required Education and Skills:



A valid Level 1 BC General Insurance license is required. A minimum of one year of experience in Personal Lines Insurance. Excellent oral and written communication, time management, organizational, negotiation, and sales skills. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel. A detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy. Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Assets:



Currently pursuing or holding a CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation.
