This position requires an individual who is comfortable working at a varying pace, addressing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.
In our highly collaborative environment, a commitment to teamwork and effective communication is essential. This role is responsible for providing quality service to our Personal Home and Auto clients including developing, and maintaining client relationships through prompt, pleasant service, efficient handling of claims, change requests, and client inquiries on personal lines accounts. This role involves significant priority management, excellent attention to detail, the ability to clearly communicate, and excellent service when dealing with both internal and external clients.
The AM is responsible for educating our clients on their insurance protection and industry changes, sharing insight into additional insurance products which may offer additional protection, addressing coverage inquiries in a prompt, professional manner, reporting claims, and securing policy renewals.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in a Business, or related field or college diploma in insurance brokerage (i.e.. CAIB, CIP or RIBO) is preferred. A combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.
1-3 years of Broker/Insurance Industry experience.
1-3 years of experience in client or customer service.
Level 1 Agent License or working toward.
Must have strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
Strong experience using word processing and office productivity suites like MS365.
Bilingualism is an asset.
Experience using Applied EPIC is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
Some travel is required.
Networking at group insurance events is expected.
Conducting presentations and meetings is required. (in person / virtual and formal /informal)
Some overtime is expected due to the nature of the role. Regular office hours are 8am to 4:30pm AST.
Work Location
Fredericton or Moncton, in-office.
Hybrid option within 12 months of employment.
