Silverwood Manor is a personal care home that takes care of 50-60 senior residents. We provide rooms, meals, cleaning, and transportation for our seniors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Dusting, mopping of hallways Emptying all waste bins Cleaning of glass and mirrors Dusting and moving of furniture weekly Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets Cleaning of tub rooms Clean areas as assigned, such as fridges, freezers, cupboards, etc. Ensure that rooms are odour-free Report anything in need of replacement to the appropriate person Keep your cleaning materials safely stored, and cleaning materials and supplies tidy Help with serving of meals and tea/coffee to residents Cleaning of and resetting tables after each meal Cleaning of laundry Assisting with call bells Staff on the west wing will be responsible for taking the garbage out daily and nighttime staff will be responsible for taking out the garbage at the end of the shift. Garbage needs to be brought down to the disposal bins During night shift clean craft room, hair salon, doctors office, private dining room, front entrance floors, doors and furniture, living room, dining room and kitchen floor to be swept & mopped Dessert and bread need to be made during the night shift Medication administration for evening/nightly medications Assist residents with their nightly lunch Replenish sugar, butter, salt & pepper, and jam containers Check cook's notes with respect to the food preparation for the next day Ensure that residents who have special needs are helped i.e. cutting their food before serving if they have trouble with that task Must wear an apron & hairnet when in the dining/kitchen area
