Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to a senior in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life, particularly a senior with disabilities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with the client in a home environment.

Duties

Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Support client with care by engaging them in activities that stimulate cognitive function. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document client progress and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members. '

Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, hospice care, or home care is preferred. Knowledge of senior care practices and caregiving techniques is essential. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities and those requiring additional support. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Certification or training in caregiving or nursing is advantageous but not mandatory. Valid Class G Drivers License Live-in preferred
