Personal & Lifestyle Attendant

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Toronto, ON (Non-Live-In)

THE REQUIREMENTS (Priority Profile)

Communication:

Must have a high level of proficiency in

English (verbal and written)

. You must be able to follow complex, real-time verbal instructions regarding physical care and safety protocols without hesitation.

Legal:

Must have a valid SIN number and be legally authorized to work in Ontario.

Gender:

Male (Required due to shared travel accommodations and personal care duties).

Punctuality:

Absolute reliability is the #1 priority. If you are not here, I am physically stranded.

Environment:

Must be an

animal lover

(dog walking/feeding required) and

comfortable with small children

.

Travel:

Must have a valid passport and be available for frequent travel (typically 3-4 days per month and longer trips occasionally).

Vetting:

Must provide professional references and a Vulnerable Sector Background Check.

ABOUT THE ROLE

I am seeking a proactive

Personal Attendant

(not a PSW) to facilitate an active lifestyle and manage a busy household. I have a mobility impairment (quadriplegia) and require a partner who acts as my "hands" throughout the day.

This is a lifestyle-integrated role.

You are not just "doing a shift"; you are helping me manage my work, my family, and my travel. I value common sense and a proactive "can-do" attitude over formal medical degrees.

I will provide all necessary training for my specific physical needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Care:

Assisting with daily routines (transfers, grooming, etc.) as directed by me.

Household Support:

Meal prep, organization, and cleaning.

Pet & Family:

Walking our well-behaved dog and assisting with child-related activities (meals, cleaning, play, ect.).

Travel Logistics:

Accompanying me on trips, managing luggage, and navigating transportation (a daily rate is provided for travel).

COMPENSATION & REVIEWS

Starting Rate:

$22.00/hour.

Performance Review:

Full assessment after 3 months with a potential increase up to $25.00/hour.

Travel:

Travel costs are discussed on a per trip basis. It is frequently the case that travel, lodging, and meals are covered, however this is not always the case.
