We are currently seeking compassionate, caring, creative and dependable individuals with experience who want to help seniors live happy and well at home. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in helping seniors with their physical, social and household activities. Reliable transportation and good communication is required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide support with meal preparation and nutritional needs. Aid clients in mobility and transportation to appointments or activities. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being. Support individuals with dementia care, ensuring their comfort and safety. engage in ongoing education through organization

Skills

Experience in nursing home or assisted living environments is preferred. Strong understanding of client care principles and practices. Ability to perform lifts and transfers and adhere to no lift policy as required for client mobility assistance. Proficiency in Canadian meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions or preferences. Knowledge of home care best practices, including safety protocols. Compassionate approach towards senior care and understanding of dementia-related challenges. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, speak clear English for effective interaction with clients and families.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
