Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence among clients.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or in hospice care. Document client progress and report any changes in health status to nursing staff. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of caregiving practices, including dementia care and hospice care. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility. Basic understanding of medication administration protocols.
