Reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager, the Performance Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting the process of inputting, analyzing, and displaying performance data using different approaches and business intelligence tools to report on key and critical measurable performance parameters. The Performance Data Specialist will have the responsibility to produce quantitative reporting mechanisms for species unit verticals, while serving as the point person for all performance data-related requirements. This includes training team members on best practices to ensure the quality of data obtained is accurate, review and modification of reporting cadences, exploration of improvement opportunities to streamline data input options, and develop and implement ways to track and monitor changes in data trends related to our organization\xe2\x80\x99s performance.

Your day to day activities will include:

  • Liaise with various business unit managers to ensure complete and accurate data is available and received to perform analysis or routine reporting
  • Expand report generation and analysis in accordance with demands from corporate or species vertical requirements
  • Assemble/integrate data from multiple sources and implement analytical solutions
  • Collaborate with field staff and/or industry partners to streamline collection of critical data points
  • Generate and prioritize data reports on regular cadence based on business, management and/or customer needs
  • Utilize analytics systems for data presentation and aggregation, while applying analytical to identify patterns and interactions within performance measurement data
  • Identify and proactively correct data entry errors
  • Support design and implementation of reporting mechanisms
  • Provide ad-hoc performance data reports as necessary
  • Work with technology partners to improve data model design and needed data pipelines to support analytics
  • Expand on data sources to uncover new ways of looking at the business and finding new opportunities
  • Continue to modernize data reporting/ dashboards to improve adoption and usage
  • Support data governance or data quality clean-up activities in the function
  • Responsible for verifying and finalizing performance data for all species units
  • Ongoing development of written standard operating procedures and process flow diagrams to aid in the utilization of our data rich environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary on broader organizational goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, or similar work-related experience a similar field.
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a data specialist.
  • Ability to organize, read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats.
  • Experience in the agriculture industry.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
