We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking a People Services (HR) Advisor who will provide support to the People Services (HR) Business Partner team to assist in the planning and execution of programs for the Canadian lines of business. You\xe2\x80\x99ll provide advisory across a variety of HR-related areas, including employee engagement, performance management, training and development, orientation and onboarding, HR analytics, retention strategies, and DEI&B.

You will also be responsible for handling employee questions and requests, the day-to-day operations and administration including developing job descriptions, loan and draw agreements, conducting exit interviews, and providing HR metrics and employment law information to managers (and employees) upon request. What you bring

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Resources or a related field

1-3 years of Human Resources experience in a similar role

Broad range of experience with HR programs and policies

Strong computer skills with previous experience working with MS Office programs

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task; and exemplary communication skills

Knowledge of current HR-related federal, provincial, and local legislation and regulations

Bonus skills and experience

A CHRP/CPHR designation (or working towards one)

Experience working in a multi-location, matrixed organization

Commercial real estate experience

Workday experience

What success looks like

Partner with HR Managers on the development, implementation, and continuous management of HR initiatives/programs throughout the business lines.

Partner strategically with dedicated HR Managers and business leaders to drive and deliver people strategies and goals.

Works with the HR Managers through a range of employee relations matters; performance management issues, coaching managers, conducting investigations, disciplinary action, handling of terminations, and conducting exit interviews. Keep HR Managers apprised and escalates urgent issues to the Employee Relations team when necessary.

In partnership with the HR Managers, support People Leaders with any questions during the annual bonus/merit cycles ensure smooth and timely execution of bonus process.

Work closely with extended HR team members (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Legal, Employee Relations, and HR Solutions, etc.) to deliver expert specialist advice to managers and employees.

Responsible for administration of separation process, this includes calculating severance recommendations, drafting termination paperwork, and updating the separation tracker.

Responsible for creating ad-hoc training and/or partnering with our Learning and Development team to create training materials and facilitate training as needed.

Support HR Managers with analysis of their employee engagement survey results, conduct focus groups, and provide recommendations for their action plan.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $54,563 to $101,250

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
