About the Role
As a People Operations Generalist at Voiceflow, you will be instrumental in helping scale and grow an early-stage startup. Currently a Series-A funded company with 50 people, we have plans to scale over the next year (and beyond).


Working under the leadership of the Head of People Operations, we are looking for someone that is passionate about the new hire and employee experience along with supporting our operations team with team-wide initiatives. You will create lasting impressions and programs that energize and engage our employees. You will make sure prospective and current employees feel welcome, respected, appreciated and part of the Flowsters culture & team. All mixed together, you\xe2\x80\x99re the link that will help nurture our unique culture and create an exceptional experience for our people

What You\'ll Do

  • You will be a high-performing member of our Internal Operations team, working under our COO and Head of People, and alongside Finance, Ops, People Ops and Legal.

New Hire Experience:
  • Collaborate closely with our Co-Founders, Hiring Managers, and Operations team to gain a comprehensive understanding of our headcount needs and how they can affect our team
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees, including facilitating orientation sessions and setting up new employee paperwork
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and HRIS updates. (We use BambooHR as our HRIS!)
  • Refine and adapt our onboarding program by taking into account the feedback received from new hires

Employee Experience
  • Take an active part in creating and executing People Ops initiatives and programs, including employee engagement, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Manage employee recognition and culture programs to celebrate our amazing employees.
  • Offer advice and assistance to managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our Culture Team to organize and host unforgettable staff events, including off-sites, parties, and gatherings for our team.

Vendor & Office Management
  • Oversee the maintenance of our Toronto office space, equipment and liaise with service providers as needed.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, including negotiating contracts and resolving any issues or disputes.

About You

  • You have relevant experience in the people and operations space, preferably for a startup or a small business.
  • You\'re up-to-date on HR best practices, laws, and regulations, and you know how to communicate these to others.
  • You\'re a great communicator and collaborator, and you love working with people.
  • You\'re a natural problem-solver and have experience developing and implementing team-wide initiatives.
  • You\'re tech-savvy and familiar with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
  • You\'re highly organized and can juggle multiple tasks and projects without breaking a sweat.
  • You\'re adaptable and flexible, and you can roll with the punches when priorities shift.

  • Role & Culture Screening Call \xe2\x80\x94 30-minute calls with Brett (Recruiter) and Aamna (Head of People) to share more about Voiceflow, our team & culture, and learn about you.
  • Panel Interview - a 30 minute call with Andrew (Head of Operations) and Adam (Head of Legal) to dig deeper into your background and learn more about our Operations team.
  • Final Interview - you\xe2\x80\x99ll have the chance to meet with Braden (CEO) to learn more about the future of Voiceflow.
  • Offer \xe2\x80\x94 this is the part where we all celebrate!

Logistics

  • Location \xe2\x80\x94 we are located in Toronto and operate on a Hybrid model where our team comes into the office 1-2 days per week.
  • Timeline \xe2\x80\x94 we are aiming to have our process completed and an offer made by the end of April 2023.
