We are currently seeking an Agile Practice Manager to lead a diverse team of 10-15 highly skilled and collaborative individuals working on Content Management System initiatives. You are an experienced agile and waterfall delivery practitioner with a demonstrated experience working with multiple teams, sponsors, and stakeholders. You will help increase agile maturity for the team and be a catalyst for change.

What you will do:

  • Manage a digital team with diverse roles including Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop a high performing, highly motivated and engaged team of professionals.
  • Effectively hire and retain talent while leading and growing the Digital Agile PMO.
  • Promote a learning environment to develop team member skills that align with industry developments and organization goals.
  • Set performance plans and objectives that recognizes talent and provide honest, direct and real-time feedback.
  • Implement Agile frameworks, principles, and practices across all levels of the team and organization to set the tone for a transparent, adaptive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Work effectively with 3rd party vendors and outsourcers (talent supply management).
  • Ensure compliance with Sun Life policies and procedures for project delivery and implementation (playbooks).
  • Promote the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization. This includes leading teams and influencing leaders as they learn and adopt Agile practices.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, growth and development of our people, by making mentoring and coaching of team members a priority.
  • Facilitate efforts with the support and teams on how to introduce agile frameworks into a Waterfall environment.
What you will need to succeed
  • A Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in Talent Management \xe2\x80\x93 recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, employee development and coaching, and reward and recognition
  • 5+ years of experience providing direct leadership to full time employees.
  • Hands on experience with Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe frameworks.
  • 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager while leading large cross-functional teams, resources, and projects.
Preferred Skills:
  • Conflict and issue resolution and escalation experience.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), facilitation, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable on integrating complex and unique program

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
