ATB is seeking a People & Culture (P&C) Consultant
to act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to assigned business units. In this role, you will be a credible contributor, initiating strategic conversations with business leaders to align P&C initiatives with core business objectives. You will provide expert guidance and leverage data-driven insights to optimize talent, foster a positive and inclusive culture, and drive organizational success. This role is responsible for supporting and delivering solutions from our P&C Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to solve business challenges and enhance the entire team member experience.
Accountabilities
Strategic Partnership & Planning
Act as the primary P&C point of contact and strategic partner for assigned business leaders, developing a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges.
Anticipate and plan for future workforce needs and trends in partnership with business management, translating business strategy into a comprehensive talent strategy.
Provide data-driven insights and analytics to inform business decision-making, measure P&C program effectiveness, and identify key trends.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support and drive organizational alignment, key projects, and change management initiatives.
Talent & Performance Enablement
Provide expert advice and guidance on comprehensive talent management strategies, including performance enablement, succession planning, and leadership development.
Partner with leaders on talent acquisition strategies to attract, select, and onboard top talent, collaborating closely with the Talent Acquisition CoE.
Consult on the implementation of competitive compensation structures and benefits programs that align with industry standards and support talent retention.
Employee Relations & Culture
Provide expert advice, coaching, and guidance to leaders on all aspects of the employee experience and employee relations, including performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, transfers, and separations.
Advise on and assist with the implementation of P&C policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring robust compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Champion initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and well-being, fostering a positive, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
Support and drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies and initiatives within the business unit.
Collaboration & Solution Orchestration
Act as the key liaison between the business unit and P&C Centers of Expertise (e.g., Compensation, Talent, DEI, HR Technology).
Provide critical feedback from the business unit back to the P&C CoEs to ensure P&C programs and policies are aligned with immediate and long-term business needs.
Implement and monitor a variety of P&C programs within the business unit, ensuring effective delivery and adoption.
Skills, experience & requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources (P&C), Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive P&C (HR) experience, preferably in a strategic partner, consultant, or HRBP role.
Demonstrated knowledge of core P&C functions, including employee relations, performance management, talent strategy, and employment law.
