The Role

The People & Culture Coordinator is the primary point of contact for our employees and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class employee experience in all facets of Human Resources. This role is responsible for ensuring timely execution and completion of a seamless workflow for each new and existing employee.

We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment, has superior organizational skills with attention to detail and can ensure high quality work.

Job duties:

  • Welcome newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a positive experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
  • Crafting and sending communication with information about the company, onboarding agenda, equipment handover, dress code, parking options, perks and similar items.
  • Ensuring new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware/software and distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
  • Occasionally hosting onboarding sessions.
  • Enter and audit data and setting up employee profiles in internal HR systems.
  • Data entry to ensure all existing employee files up to date.
  • Aligning new employees with managers and their team and communicating involvement procedures to all stakeholders.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and newly hired employees.
  • Providing reporting and project updates to team lead and/or senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • General filing and record keeping of employee files.
  • Assist the Recruitment and Retention Manager on various projects including involvement in the Wellness Committee.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
  • 3 years + of work experience in a similar position or College/University in HR or related field.
  • 2 years + working in the hospitality sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employee relations.
  • Excellence in organizational skills.
  • Energetic person with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities with a consistent track record of delivering on-time, high quality results.
  • High attention to detail is a must.
  • Engage in a service mindset and passion to serve our employees as we would our guests.
  • Adjust to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with a results driven approach and who can work with limited guidance.
  • Very strong work ethic (reliable) with \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d and collaborative attitude.
