The Opportunity:
We are currently looking to hire a People & Culture Coordinator in Edmonton, AB. This opportunity will be ideal for someone with a passion for developing their HR career through supporting new initiatives aimed at building the infrastructure for human resources capabilities and driving an inclusive and diverse workplace culture. The People & Culture Coordinator will report directly to the Director, People & Culture.
The People & Culture Coordinator will be responsible for supporting projects that increase organizational capability and competencies in the areas of employee engagement, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, data analytics, and process improvement. There will also be an aspect of liasing with other teams to help with day-to-day employee relations, administrative tasks, and HR operations functions. This role is heavy in data-entry and travel logistics planning. The successful candidate will work alongside other People & Culture Team members in cultivating a corporate culture aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s vision, mission, and core values.

You also know how to roll up your sleeves and drive action through prioritizing activities, establishing appropriate courses of action, and monitoring progress. This role requires a high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial organization.
You possess the following education, experience, and skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive and diverse experience in the HR field including HRIS data entry, training and onboarding auditing, employment document auditing, employee travel and training scheduling, and other ad-hoc HR admin tasks.
  • Experience supporting special projects in HR areas such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Post-secondary education specializing in business, human resources, or a related field is required.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) and HRIS systems.
