Why is this role important?

In this role you will be supporting initiatives that help further the advancement of the People, Culture and Learning (PCL) portfolios. In this unique opportunity as a co-op student you will be exposed to and involved in a variety of activities that support both strategic projects as well as operational requirements for our branch and enable our workforce to help drive CIHI's overall mandate to deliver on better data, better decisions, for healthier Canadians.




What you'll do

- Support the PCL team with coordination, documentation, communication, and reporting as it relates to a variety of PCL activities including, recruitment, learning, payroll, health & safety, etc.)


- Maintain employee files and support HRIS data entry/reporting/analytics


- Assist with operational duties related to team document creation, contract/financial administration, team scheduling, event planning, etc.


- Participate in continuous improvement ideation and tactics e.g. policy/process improvements


- Support the revision and migration of select PCL digital files and documentation on internal platforms and channels




What you'll bring to the table

- Working towards an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, or Business Administration/Commerce requiring Co-op placement as part of educational requirements


- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and related products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. )


- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)


- Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills


- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with empathy and professionalism


- Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team setting

Pourquoi ce role est-il important ?

L'etudiant stagiaire participe a des initiatives qui contribuent a l'avancement des portefeuilles de la direction Personnel, Culture et Apprentissage. Cette occasion unique permet au stagiaire de prendre part a diverses activites qui soutiennent les projets strategiques et les besoins operationnels de la Direction, et qui appuient le mandat general de l'ICIS (De meilleures donnees pour de meilleures decisions : des Canadiens en meilleure sante).




Quelles seront vos responsabilites ?

- Appuyer l'equipe de la direction Personnel, Culture et Apprentissage en ce qui a trait a la coordination, a la documentation, a la communication et a la declaration dans le cadre de diverses activites (notamment le recrutement, l'apprentissage, la paye, et la sante et la securite).


- Tenir a jour les dossiers des employes et participer a la saisie, a la declaration et a l'analyse des donnees du SIRH.


- Participer aux taches operationnelles liees a la creation de documents d'equipe, a l'administration des contrats et des finances, a la programmation des equipes, a la planification d'evenements, etc.


- Participer a l'ideation et a la tactique d'amelioration continue (p. ex. amelioration des politiques et des processus).


- Soutenir la revision et la migration de certains fichiers numeriques et de la documentation de la Direction sur les plateformes et canaux internes.




Que mettriez-vous a profit ?


Inscription a un programme universitaire de premier cycle en ressources humaines, en administration des affaires ou en commerce qui exige l'accomplissement d'un stage.

- Maitrise des produits de la suite MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).


- Connaissance des systemes d'information sur les ressources humaines (SIRH) et des systemes de suivi des candidats.


- Solides aptitudes en matiere d'administration, de communication et d'organisation.


- Capacite a preserver la confidentialite et a traiter de l'information sensible avec empathie et professionnalisme.


- Capacite demontree a travailler autant de facon autonome qu'au sein d'une equipe dynamique.
