JOB DESCRIPTION
The
People and Culture Manager
will lead the HR function across the organization. Reporting to the Vice Presidents and working closely with the CEO, the manager will drive initiatives that develop leadership, enhance employee engagement, and support organizational performance. This role includes structuring scalable HR programs and processes to enable professional growth, improve the employee experience, and align HR practices with long-term business objectives.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with organizational objectives and support long-term growth.
Lead the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.
Serve as a strategic advisor on employee relations, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
Drive initiatives in leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational transformation.
Monitor HR metrics and analytics to guide strategic decisions and improve workforce outcomes.
Oversee office processes and resources to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure the workplace functions efficiently.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are a plus. At least 5 years or more of progressive HR experience in generalist roles, with a proven record of long-term engagement and continuous professional growth in previous positions. Strong expertise in HR strategy, talent development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and labor law compliance.
Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and drive organizational impact.
Bilingual, with excellent communication skills in both English and French, written and verbal.
Proficiency in HR software, MS Office Suite, and project management tools.
Experience in a unionized environment and in collective bargaining negotiations is an asset.
