The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Consultant for our People Advisory Services (PAS) practice with a focus on healthcare. In joining our team, you will gain valuable experiences and a wealth of knowledge by working across various capabilities, service offerings, and agencies. Working in multidisciplinary teams, often directly with leaders of major hospitals, regional health authorities and governments, you will bring diverse perspectives to every challenge. We are uniquely positioned to advise leaders on healthcare organizational design and change management, as well as implementing contemporary strategies and leading practices for stabilizing and optimizing the health workforce. Your key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex change concepts and the people-side in healthcare to tackle the ongoing challenges of increasing demand for care providers across Canada.
  • Be a key member of client engagement teams and work with various clients to deliver professional services. Develop and successfully manage to project budget, working closely with engagement leadership.
  • Deliver quality services. Value and model excellent client service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve a high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes. Monitor progress, manage risk and confirm key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management. Focus on deliverables and client business priorities. Manage expectations of service. Understand the client\'s industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.
  • Develop people. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge. Keep up to date with current developments and trends in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
  • Generate new business opportunities. Understand Ernst & Young and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with other Ernst & Young team members across all practices to serve client needs.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel; willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 30%

To qualify for the role you must have
  • A related bachelor\'s degree
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in providing advisory services in a number of the following areas: workforce planning, talent strategy, recruitment and onboarding, employee experience and retention, organizational design, and change management
  • Experience in delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of Assessment, Design, and Implementation support
  • Project management experience

Ideally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also have
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Understanding and experience within and across various forms of healthcare services
