A strategic partner in program and student success, the Student Recruitment Team champions NAIT\'s educational model and provides subject matter expertise on admissions, enrolment, and student information system solutions and data. NAIT Student Recruitment is often the first point of contact for prospective students in their journey to NAIT. Student Recruitment helps prospective students understand NAIT\'s programs, the admissions process, and the campus community.Reporting to the International Student Recruitment Manager, and working closely with the recruitment team, Peer Recruitment Assistants support prospective international and domestic students by engaging with them through online channels and both virtual and in-person recruitment events. By sharing their experiences at NAIT, Peer Recruitment Assistants will help prospective students understand if NAIT is a good fit for their postsecondary studies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent NAIT by replying to online messages, and or live chat with prospective students through a virtual peer recruitment platform.
  • Create photo and video content with captions to be shared through the peer recruitment platform and marketing channels such as the NAIT website and social media platforms.
  • Answer and build frequently asked questions and responses to support prospective students in applying to NAIT.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering virtual and on-campus recruitment events and presentations such as Open House and Program Previews.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person campus tours.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to clearly communicate their academic and student life experiences at NAIT to a variety of prospective students (domestic and international).
  • Basic knowledge of the NAIT campus, student services, and opportunities to participate in the campus community.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise matter both verbally and in writing and adapt communication for various audiences.
  • Strong interest in developing photo, video and written content for the peer recruitment platform and social media.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated student leadership, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to develop public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated intercultural understanding and awareness.
Qualifications:
  • Enrolled at NAIT as a student for Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 and in good academic standing.
  • Completion of grade twelve
  • Some related experience
  • Equivalencies may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).Remuneration: $19.02 - $24.74 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of stat holidays and vacation accrual.
