The position will be located in Saskatoon at the Kinsmen Children\'s Centre in association with the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program. You will be joining a passionate interdisciplinary team of nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, medical social workers, clinical psychologists, and case managers who provide ambulatory and inpatient care for children with a broad spectrum of developmental rehabilitation needs. You will also participate in existing interdisciplinary specialist ambulatory clinics with other specialists that include developmental pediatricians, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and geneticists provide scheduled consultation services at the brand new Jim Pattison Children\'s Hospital (JPCH). You will work closely with colleagues who provide pediatric rehabilitation care within the Children\'s Program at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre (WRC) located in Regina.Your practice will include caring for children and adolescents with acquired and congenital neuromuscular disease, brain injury, and other neurological related conditions and will incorporate management of spasticity, orthotic, prosthetic, equipment prescription and evaluation, and other areas based on interest. There are opportunities for electro-diagnostic and interventional procedures based on experience and evidence of training.This position is funded through the Academic Clinical Funding Program (ACFP), which provides protected time for clinical, administrative, and academic duties. Clinical teaching of medical students and residents is required and as part of the academic faculty, you will have the opportunity for research and continued program development. You will be appointed as non-tenured faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan at the level of Assistant Professor or commensurate with your current appointment.
