At Seasons OT, we provide home-based therapy, meaning treatment is provided in the community in settings such as the child's home, school/daycare, and playgrounds. We are a mobile OT services, based in Richmond BC.

We pride ourselves on using a family-centred, relationship and play-based approach to address your child's individual OT goals. Learning through play has been proven to be most effective for children as it facilitates engagement, curiosity, and experiential learning.

Parent implementation of OT strategies is key to a child's progress and success. We also encourage our clients to nurture a growth mindset (parents too) and collaborate with the family to create and achieve meaningful goals.

Job Overview

Seasons OT is looking for 1-2 experienced and knowledgeable Pediatric Occupational Therapists to join our team! The role is for community-based OT, with flexible scheduling. The position is for 3-20 billable hours per week, covering a maternity leave for 14 months, with the possibility of staying on the team afterwards. Applicants may indicate which cities they are interested in.

Caseload coverage:

Richmond - 13 hours per week.
Vancouver - 3 hours per week.
Delta/Twasassen - 3 hours per week.

Start date:

January 2026 to March 2027.

The Ideal candidate

1-2 years working within pediatric OT in clinic or in the community.

Passionate about children and families, to provide effective and engaging therapy.

Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written communication across in-person, phone, and email) with children, families, therapy team, and schools.

Committed to life-long learning and evidence-based practice.

Self-reflective and seeks feedback to implement and continually improve.

Proactive, self-organized, and innovative problem solver.

Prioritizes and manages caseload independently.

Completes scheduling and charting in a concise and timely manner.

Inclusive, open-minded, and has a basic understanding of neurodiversity affirming (NDA) practice.

English language proficiency, and secondary languages an asset.

Responsibilities

Conduct OT assessments (standardized and informal) using relevant skills, and knowledge.

Prioritizes client and family OT goals, and provides appropriate OT recommendations.

Provide consistent weekly treatment sessions, assessment, parent education and consultation.

Educate families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.

Strong critical thinking, and flexible thinking to adapt therapy on the spot to engage children in fun and meaningful therapy.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, clinical data, assessments, treatment plans, progress and treatment outcomes.

Complete report writing (i.e. progress reports, OT recommendations, and school observational reports).

Collaborates and communicates effectively with families, multidisciplinary team (other therapists) and school team (EAs, teachers, support staff).

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Valid licensure with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).

1-2 years of recent, related experience including pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

Registration or eligibility for registration on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list (supervision can be arranged if needed).

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $70.00-$100.00 per hour
