Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual for the position of PCW/RCW (Personal Care Worker/Residential Care Worker) to provide essential support and care to our residents. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of individuals in a residential care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The position will be 4 X 12 hours shifts, with four days off in between.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status. Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident conditions to admin staff. Foster a positive relationship with residents, families, and team members while respecting privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or nursing home settings is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Basic knowledge of caregiving practices including cleaning protocols. Certification in CPR/First Aid or relevant caregiving certifications is advantageous but not required at the time of application.
