The Opportunity:



We are looking for a dynamic and dependable HR/Payroll Coordinator to join our team. You will be a point of contact for employees, customers, colleagues, and managers. This position will focus on employee documentation and special projects.



What you'll do:



Process full cycle payrolls and maintain employee data. Reconcile, run reports, and create remittances. Balance payrolls on a monthly and yearly basis. Process terminations and Records of Employment. Answer queries from internal and external customers. Understand and answer queries related to employee deductions, including benefits and pension. Calculate manual pays, retroactive amounts, or other amounts as needed. Assist with leave management process, which may involve employee letters, referring employees to third-party disability managers, calculating pension and benefits premiums, and creating workflows in HRIS. Employee verifications, both verbal and written. Starting new hire workflows in HRIS. Assist with life insurance processing and benefit/pension reconciliations. Ad hoc and regular reporting relating to payroll and Human Resources.

Who you are:



Full cycle payroll and benefits experience with an automated payroll/HRIS. One year of experience with general human resources administration and/or related education. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is an asset. The ability to perform in both a team environment and with little supervision. Demonstrated skill in completing projects and tasks under strict deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with excellent Excel and Word skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with high initiative. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Excellent customer service skills. Completion or enrolment in Canadian Payroll Association is an asset. Pension and benefits administration experience is an asset.
