Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Technician is responsible for data integrity in our HR platform. In collaboration with the Paymaster, prepare payroll processing for the various Rodeo FX entities, according to payroll schedules.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Payroll Master to produce payroll.
  • Assist the Payroll Supervisor with any ad-hoc requests
  • Participate in the payroll process for non-unionized employees
  • Ensure follow-up and application of the annual payroll schedule
  • Assist employees with any payroll-related questions
  • Validate employee files (hiring, promotion, changes, etc.)
  • During salary changes, perform retro calculations if applicable, modify and adjust vacation plans
  • Keep payroll-related files up to date and make changes as required
  • Validate group insurance coverage and ensure that it is properly configured in our payroll system.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in payroll processing;
  • Payroll Compliance Specialist designation and member (CPA) of the Canadian Payroll Association is an asset;
  • Knowledge of US regulations an asset;
  • Very good knowledge of Excel software;
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, an asset;
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems;
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and under pressure;
  • Strong priority management skills;
  • Autonomy, versatility, attention to detail, precision and thoroughness;
  • Discretion in handling confidential data;
  • Ability to learn new software;
  • A team player;
