Job Description

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for working with ADP our payroll provider to prepare, process and analyze multi-province data, including commissions, incentives, and bonus payments; supporting payroll and tax audits while ensuring compliance with all Canadian agencies and other regulatory requirements. The Payroll Specialist will possess strong technical and communication skills, effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to systems and payroll processing. Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, wage attachments, etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely Support end to end payroll processing for our Canadian employees. Analyze and review payroll / time and attendance data; handle quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy with minimal errors Process stop payments, reversals, off-cycle payrolls as needed Create custom reports and analyze large amounts of information to support mandatory reporting, day to day and ad hoc business needs Support quarterly and year-end payroll processing/reporting (T-4) Actively participate in process improvement initiatives Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment High level of self-motivation, accountability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic A high degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information Experience working with ADP Global View, SAP, and Workday and applications a plus
