Job Details
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks including managing data through HR system, onboarding, managing safety renewals and overall support for the HR Team. This role is fast paced and allows for a high amount of exposure to various areas of a multi-faceted HR team.
Responsibilities
Prepare and process semi-monthly, bi-weekly, weekly North American hourly & administrative payroll (Driver/Owner Operator/Shop/Washrack/Administrative)
Validate and ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll & HR data and documentation
Set up and maintain various deductions eg. Garnishment, union dues, licence, insurance etc.
Process and maintain Record of Employments as legislated by Service Canada
Prepare year end data including T-4, RL1, W-2 & 1099-NEC slips
Prepare and distribute reports to operations and answer employee & Manager inquiries
Communicate with a variety of internal and external parties (government agencies, unions, field staff etc.)
Other duties and projects as required
Qualifications
Minimum high school education
Degree or Diploma with a major in Human Resources an asset
UKG Pro experience is considered an asset
1-2 years in an HR, Accounting, or payroll position
Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate(PCP) is considered an asset
