Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

We're looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our fast-paced Accounting team. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, strong confidentiality, and strong attention to detail, this is the perfect role for you. In this position, you will report to the CFO and be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, while also supporting key accounting functions.

What You'll Do:

Accurately and timely process payroll for all employees, ensuring correct calculation of hours worked, overtime, deductions, and benefits.

Coordinate with HR to update employee information and resolve any payroll-related issues efficiently.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Generate and submit required payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies on time.

Regularly reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accurate recording of transactions and prompt resolution of discrepancies.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Manage the Blue Cross benefits enrolment process in collaboration with the HR Manager.

What You Need:

Education Requirement: Post Secondary Education in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience Requirement: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field.

Additional Strengths:

Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification is considered a a strong asset.

Experience in a multi-location environment, specifically across several provinces.

Knowledge of relevant payroll regulations and provincial standards.

Proficiency in payroll and accounting software.

Ability to analyze financial data.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
