Payroll Clerk Opportunity - Part-time role working 10 hours every other week!Robert Half is looking to fill an open Payroll Clerk position for a growing company who will support the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This role is based in the Toronto, Ontario region but can be worked remotely if desired (first day in office is required). This challenging position is a great opportunity for a self-starter looking to work with an industry leader and expand their career. The company is looking for a candidate to join their dynamic, fast-growing team who can effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk\'s job duties consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a long-term contract basis. Please note this is a part-time opportunity working 10 hours every other week (5 hours on Monday & 5 hours of Tuesday).What you get to do every day:
- Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Build and run custom reports
- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
- Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets- 1+ years of previous payroll experience preferred
- Eagerness to master new systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
- Solid understanding of Payroll Vendor
