Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems, as well as strong analytical skills to support financial reporting and payroll accuracy.
Duties
• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain employee records in the HRIS, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
• Manage accounts receivable functions related to payroll deductions and contributions.
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage 300 and ADP for payroll processing and reporting.
• Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll metrics and trends.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300, ADP) and HRIS systems
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
