Western Energy is hiring a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team in our Calgary location!
Western Energy Services Corp. (Corporate) is an energy service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.
Position Summary
Based in our Calgary head office, and reporting directly to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the administration of benefit plans including but not limited to Group Health and Dental, Employee Assistance Program, Group Registered Retirement Savings, and acting as a key back-up resource.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, payroll remittances, and related reporting, including month-end reconciliations, and T4/W2 preparation. You will support payroll operations for employees across multiple divisions in Canada and the U.S., processing payroll on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills will be required as communication and client inquiry assistance will be a key component within this position.
