Join our Team as a Payroll Assistant in the Automotive Industry!
Temporary - 15-18 Months
Carson Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, temporary, position located in Victoria BC and is intended to cover an existing employee on leave. The role will have a primary focus on assisting with the payroll processing for our group of automotive dealerships. Secondarily, this position will provide HR support on day-to-day tasks as needed.
What You'll Assist with:
Full cycle Payroll including data entry and verification for semimonthly and biweekly payrolls including union and non-unionized employees
Daily Payroll and HR department tasks as required
Preparing monthly, annual, and on demand reports
Preparing and reconciling pension and benefit statements
Maintaining accurate employee records
Assisting with onboarding including completing new employee set-ups
Benefit administration, WorkSafe BC Claims, and Health & Safety administration
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 1 year payroll experience
Familiarity with payroll software (i.e, ADP) and strong MS Office skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to multitask while prioritizing time sensitive information
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus, but not required
