The Payroll Assistant is an entry level position primarily responsible for assisting Payroll in processing Records of Employments through PeopleSoft for multiple operating locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing Records of Employments in PeopleSoft and sending them to Service Canada. The incumbent will ensure Canadian legislation and Payroll processing standards. Administrative duties including Routine and Ad hoc reports, Year-end support, Mail room. Other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Lead.

Reporting Relationship:

The Payroll Assistant reports to the Payroll Lead unless alternate reporting relationships have been established.

Work Location

: Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON

- At least 2 days onsite weekly


Qualifications:

Education

Minimum - Secondary School Diploma, and relevant experience in a related field. College/University degree considered an asset. Candidates with PCP Certification in progress would be preferred.

Experience

:

A minimum of two years recent experience in an office setting combined with intermediate PC experience and strong knowledge of MS office applications.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently or in a team environment, including communication skills both written and oral; Providing excellent customer service skills, demonstrated ability to probe, analyze and problem solve issues; Strong sense of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task, to maintain a high level of productivity in a deadline driven environment. Comfortable with working daily with Pivot Tables and V Look up
