About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Payroll & Benefits Coordinator
to join our Finance team. This role supports the full-cycle payroll process across multiple provinces and countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, compliance with different levels of government regulations, and strong collaboration with the Payroll Manager.
This is a hybrid position--work onsite Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for employees across Canada, the United States, and other applicable countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment standards
File and reconcile Workers Compensation reports and remittances in multiple jurisdictions
Calculate and verify EHT, CPP, EI, and other payroll-related source deductions, ensuring compliance with CRA and other authorities
Assist with year-end reporting requirements
Maintain employee records and ensure payroll data integrity within ADP
Prepare payroll summaries and reconciliations for review by the Payroll Manager
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll & benefits with professionalism and confidentiality
Support audits, internal reviews, and other payroll-related projects as required
Administer the Employee Benefits Program, including employee onboarding, changes, and offboarding
Qualifications & Experience
1-2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-provincial environment
Experience or education in accounting is an asset
Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and source deductions (CPP, EI, EHT, etc.)
Experience with ADP payroll systems as an asset
Proficiency in Excel and general accounting principles is an asset
Currently enrolled or working toward the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an asset
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
