- Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
- Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
- Offer assistance with internal and external audits related to payroll
- Exercise review and verification of source documents
- Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
- Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
- Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part of managing payroll records
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Follow established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations and report changes as necessary
- Resolve payroll discrepancies via information collection and analysis
- Proper payroll information maintenance by collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required- Strong analytical capabilities and discernment- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements- Demonstrated knowledge of HST- Earlier work involving Weekly Payroll- Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll- ADP Workforce Now experience- Expertise in Canadian Payroll- Practical knowledge of payroll- Reconcile Payroll experience highly preferred- Experience with union payroll- Good understanding of Year-end Payroll- Adeptness in UKG Pro- General familiarity with Process Biweekly Payroll- Foundational knowledge in payroll systems for 100-500 employees- Background working with Process Payroll- Well-informed in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen- Preference will be given to Certified Payroll detail oriented- Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.- Previous experience using accounting software- General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred- Understanding of internal controls- 5+ years of relevant experience in payrollRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
