The Role
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the
Payroll Administrator
will be responsible for processing biweekly payroll for the company ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and managing payroll records. This position plays a key role in supporting smooth operations across job sites and departments.Duties
Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
Collect, verify, and enter timecard data from field supervisors and project managers
Ensure proper deductions for benefits, taxes and other deductions
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in the payroll system
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
Coordinate with HR and accounting to ensure payroll and benefit data align
Stay current on prevailing wage laws and payroll compliance regulations
Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred 2+ years of payroll experience (construction industry experience strongly preferred) Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Sage, or similar) Strong understanding of federal and provincial payroll laws High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,400.00-$66,560.00 per year
