Payroll Administrator

Penticton, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

As the Payroll Administrator in our Penticton office, you'll play a crucial part in managing payroll and supporting a variety of accounting functions. From processing payroll to tracking benefits and managing our RSP program, you'll have a hand in keeping everything running smoothly.

To thrive in this role, you'll have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working with numbers, and prioritize meeting deadlines.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

You'll start off the week checking and adjusting time entries, ensuring everything is in perfect order. Each week, you'll alternate processing and auditing payroll for 4 companies, making sure everyone gets paid on time and correctly. Alongside this, you'll handle the preparation and submission of source deductions, WCB reports, Employer Health Tax, T4's, ROE's, and year-end statements.

You manage the RSP program by tracking enrollments and bi-weekly deductions, processing monthly remittances, and ensuring that annual matching is spot on. Health benefit premiums and expense reports will also cross your desk, where your attention to detail will ensure everything aligns as it should.

You'll be the go-to person for the Payroll inbox and ensure that everything is handled quickly and professionally. Plus, you'll get the opportunity to cross-train within the accounting department, lending a hand during busy periods and for vacation coverage.

A little about Wildstone. We're a family-owned and operated General Contractor, we take on projects in some of the most remote, challenging and exciting locations in western and northern Canada, and our goal is to always make a positive impact through community involvement where we work.

We take care of our teams with benefits that include health/dental/vision, RRSP matching, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, an Employee Recognition and Rewards Program, an Annual Bonus and Unlimited Paid Time off after 3 years.

What We're Looking For:

You're either enrolled in or have completed a certified Payroll or Accounting course, or you have 1-2 years of relevant experience. You have the ability to work with a sense of urgency, making sure nothing gets missed. You are a whiz at keyboarding and love working with Excel (and we're excited to help you learn even more!). Knowledge of Sage 300 CRE is an asset, but not a must. You're self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable taking on new challenges. Adaptable? Absolutely! You're ready to take on whatever comes your way.

If you're ready to be part of a team that values your expertise and is eager for your contribution, we want to hear from you.
