The Payroll Administrator position is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
Major responsibilities
Administrative oversight of Canadian Benefits Plans by working with benefits administration third party vendors, supporting the Benefits Committee, conduct appropriate enrollments, terminations, reviews, analysis, communication, Annual enrollment, RFPs, Bi-weekly and monthly reporting and etc.
Administrative oversight of Canadian Pension Plan by supporting the Pension Committee; conduct appropriate enrollments, terminations, reviews, analysis, communication, bi-weekly and monthly reporting and annual filings
Develop and deliver compensation and benefits communication to existing employees as well as to new hires
Assist employees across Canada with benefits enquiries.
Work with the North America benefits team as needed.
Process Short-Term (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD) and life claims
Process benefits payments for employee on Leave and process payroll updates for payments
Process monthly benefit invoices for union, benefit providers
Maintain ongoing process improvements in Benefit systems.
Backup for Salaried Payroll Specialist when required.
Ensure and maintain accuracy of all employee Benefit data files and actions corrections.
Management and employee training on applicable responsibilities
Maintenance of Time Off Management-vacation tracker
Maintaining taxable benefits files and updating payroll team
Helping hourly payroll team when required, ROE, Service Canada Request, etc.
- 3+ years of Benefits administration experience
- Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, benefits
- Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of internal controls
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Benefits coordination experience highly desired
- Command of ROA - ROE - ROI
- Payroll experience
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with high volume data entry
